Daily Life

Some snippets from daily life:

From Leah "Mom I am glad Jesus invented chocolate covered granola bars! " Me too Leah, Me TOO!

Girls arguing/fighting and I mean literally fighting over which Disney Prince that they are going to marry! "I'm going to marry Prince Phillip!"  "No, me!" "Oh yeah, well I will marry Prince Navine then! There!"  I guess one showed the other!

Arika after watching Toy Story 3 having a "staff meeting" with her own toys!

Arika not wanting to go to bed "Momma, I wish I was a grown up!" Sigh, I dislike those daily snippets!

Arika tired "Momma, I just never want to let go of you."  Sigh!  I love those daily snippets!

Ice Fun

Spent a wonderful Saturday night on Jan. 30 at friend Heather's house.  She is lucky enough to live on the lake in this lake town, and her and her husband make an ice rink complete with twinkle lights in their backyard.  It was awesome!  Ice skating rink, cool sledding hill, delicious hot chocolate, warm portable fire, and the best friends ever.  A truly wonderful, Minnesotan, night out!

Leah and Ray were sadly at home sick, but I was a little jealous of them.  First of all they look totally cozy, and secondly they made up their own "at-home-sick-club" secret handshake!

Sandwiches with Daddy

Ray really likes to cook with the girls.  Bless him, he has tremendous patience when it comes to this.  I really believe this is a special skill.  When it comes to meal making for me it's fast and efficient.  For Ray, he takes his time, has all the patience in the world, and you can taste the love in his food.  So it makes me happy to know that my daughters will have fond memories of their Daddy spending time with them in the kitchen.  He is their biggest cheeraleader for letting them do things on their own!

Happy smiley faces!  A well made lunch!

Fallen behind/Field Trip

Wow, have fallen a little behind in my blogging.  Have been having too much fun!  I chaperoned a field trip for Leah's school and went to an ice skating party.  Ran lots of errands.  Typical Mom stuff.  I will start with Leah's field trip on Jan. 28th to the Children's Museum in St. Paul.  I love downtown St. Paul,  I am a St. Paul native and going downtown always makes me feel like I am going home.  I haven't been to the Children's Museum in years and it was AWESOME!  I had five kids in my group to keep track of and boy am I glad I didn't have six!  It was super croweded but super fun.  I had Leah's best friend Summer, another good friend Kylie, Spencer and "Little" Joey who I kept losing because he was wearing a black sweatshirt and he kept blending in everywhere we went.  Leah and Summer wanted to spend the whole time decorating their own faces with make up.  Spencer liked the shadow theater, Joey like the rock/construction factory, and Kylie just took it all in. What a fun group of kids!
