Ghosts!
Had a blast making these ghost from lollipops!  So fun!  They were a little more work than I remembered.  But the girls really enjoyed helping!  And it was so worth it! Our tree looks great!

Maroon and Gold Day! Go Forest Lake Rangers!

Sept. 28th Friday Night 2012

The Forest Lake Rangers played the Roseville Raiders for Homecomming of 2012 and we lost horribly! LOL!  Apprently it's a "rebuilding year" for the Rangers.  But there was still lots of fun and excitement to be had at the game.  The girls LOVED seeing their first "live" football game!
They cheered in the stands, loved seeing the dance team.
Both want to be dance team members when they grow up now!
It felt like the whole town was there and it was fun seeing a lot of the kids from school.  I got a few "hi lunch lady" from the kids who recognized me! I love living in Forest Lake and having these type of fun community events.  I also felt like I got to spy on what High School will be like for my girls in the future.
Very interesting! LOL!

Staying warm and watching the game!

Getting a better view with Daddy!

Leah getting a better view with Mommy!

Girls Just Want to Have FUN!

I had way too much fun helping the girls get dressed for '80's Day.,
Arika said she looked "like a Rock Star!"
And I think I actually had and wore Leah's outfit when I was in High School!
So fun to get them excited about participating in school spirit!

Spirit Week 2012 Wednesday Sept. 26 = Twins Day!

So we matched the girls to each other,
they are such good sports about it.
I told them that next year we could go though
the work and effort of finding a best buddy to dress like,
but this year being each other's best buddy is good enough!
 Love them both so much!

Spirit Week 2012 Tuesday Sept. 25 = Wacky Tacky Tuesday!

Leah decided to wear a super hero costume for Wacky Tacky Tuesday where the idea is to be as silly as possible.  Arika dressed up as a Hula Girl.  They look adorable.  Then Leah and I decided to get a "little" crazy with the hair. Love it!

The magic of 6!

Arika seems to have crossed a milestone.  She is having a much easier time reading by herself.  For once tonight, we didn't have to argue, I didn't have to urge her to read every word.  She read because she could, just a simle book,  "Hop On Pop".  But she read the words and corrected herself when she used the wrong words. She smiled and had fun the whole time.  Love, love, love.  It's hard to instill reading for a child that doesn't like to sit still, but when we practice like tonight I will have renewed hope!  I will not give up on my Arika, just because she doesn't like to, doesn't mean she can't read.  We will keep practicing, and keep on trying to make it fun and interesting for her!  My sweet little 6!
